Feeling clever

When I made this layout I didn't feel that the title or journaling fit on the page.

I decided to put them a smaller tag and tuck it beneath the large tag.

Only problem was I wanted to use foam adhesive to add some dimension. How to keep the smaller tag from falling out?

What I did was to hold the two tags together and add foam tabs to the back of large tag that wsn't covered by the smaller tag. Then I adhered it to the page. After that I lifted up the lower left corner and added two more foam tabs but left the backing paper on them. That way the hidden journaling gets pinned between the two covered tabs and the large tag, and doesn't fall out.

I felt so clever. :D

Layouts and a class

My SC April kit arrived faster than any other kit has, in the 2 years I've been a subber. Let's hope this is the future! I missed pre-sale so I only have the scrapbook and PL kits. They have been great to work with.

The second layout is a lift of Jen Jockisch, that I did for one of the LOAW challenges this month.

I also have some FUN news to share. I am one of the contributors to a mini book workshop by rukristin papercrafts that opens up on May 1st. You can find more info right here! All of the contributors will have a spot in the class to give away on their blogs. So stay tuned! Here is a sneak of the fab mini I made:

This is me

This month's Studio Calico class is called This is me. I've chosen to use a SC Handbook for my album. I'm mostly using the full sized page protectors, and I've enjoyed making little mini layouts. I really like the 6x8 format. I decided to pick a color scheme for the entire album, and went with pink and aqua. Here are a few of the pages I've made so far:

Most materials are from the SC Neverland kit and addons. I love the quote digital templete that's in SC's digital shop this month. I'll be using it throughout the album.

Thank for looking!
